Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Biblical counseling relies on the truths of the Bible to bring understanding solutions and to discover how to live with joy and hope. We have found God’s Word in the Bible effective in navigating life’s troubles, providing guidance for human problems, and finding hope amid suffering.

By recognizing God’s sovereign hand in all human experience, searching the Word of God for insight, and praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Biblical Counselors come alongside those who face suffering or trouble and support them as they pursue God’s path of love, obedience, fellowship, and victory in Jesus Christ.

You will provide preparatory information to the counselor prior to scheduling your first session so that the counselor can pray for you and prepare for a fruitful first conversation. Each counseling session will last approximately an hour. You and your counselor will determine how many sessions are needed and how frequently you will meet.
Counseling sessions will include:
1. Information gathering regarding the problem you are facing
2. Orientation to the good news of the Gospel
3. Exploration of the application of God’s word
4. Prayer for God's help
5. Growth and change planning
